ROTW announces WestFest on the 30th September

Rhythms is back Hitchin!

After a huge outpouring of community support for the festival and charity at a public ‘town hall’ discussion last month, and a subsequent meeting with volunteers this week, the trustees of Rhythms of the World are delighted to announce WestFest at the Westmill Community Centre on 30th September.

This neighbourhood event will run from 2pm with family activities, art and workshops, then into the evening with live music.

We’ve been on a hiatus since the summer of 2016, as a number of organisational and financial matters were resolved. With new Trustees and new volunteers, WestFest is the first in what we hope will be series of events leading up to a new event next summer.

One of the biggest challenges in keeping Rhythms going, and keeping it sustainable is local volunteer support. We’re looking for new and returning volunteers in performance, event production, finance and communication. Anyone that has appreciated ROTW in the past, and hopes to provide a positive experience to the community in the future, head over to our volunteers section and get in touch!
