Young people in Hitchin are being invited to take part in a talent contest with the winner given the chance to take to the Icehouse stage at the Rhythms of the World Family Fun Day this summer. The talent contest, organised by The Voice of Hitchin Youth and supported by North Herts District Council (NHDC), takes place on Saturday 22 June at Bancroft Youth Centre from 5.30pm.

ROTW showcase at the Great Escape Festival, Brighton
After hosting a highly successful event in 2012, Rhythms of the World returns to Brighton on Saturday 18 May to present a showcase of local performers at the Alternative Escape, part of the Great Escape Festival, Europe’s leading festival for new music and a magnet for the music industry. The acts will get to perform in front of record labels, agents and other industry professionals.
